To register, go to "About Superlicks 2.0ﾉ" under the Apple menu, click on the "Register" button, fill out the registration form, print it out, and mail it with the appropriate registration fee to the address on the form. Upon receipt of your registration, another collection of SuperLicks tabulatures will be sent to you along with info on how to order additional Lick Libraries. This program is being distributed on several CD-ROM collections; purchasers of such collections should be aware that the purchase of the CD-ROM does not constitute registration of this software package!

Do not change any folder or file names in the SuperLicks Data folder. The SuperLicks Data folder should always be stored in the same folder as the SuperLicks application.

What is needed to run SuperLicks? SuperLicks will run on any Macintosh with at least 2MB available RAM (after loading the operating system) and 2MB available disk space. It will configure itself to run in either color or B&W mode. It is distributed as a "fat" binary, meaning that it will run in native mode on either PowerMacs or older 68000-family machines. NOTE: This package has NOT been tested on a PowerMac (you are talking about two poor teacher-musicians here...). If you have any problems running SuperLicks on such a machine, please contact us immediately (see below!)
What development system was used to build SuperLicks? SuperLicks 2.0 was written in Allegiant's SuperCard 2.0 for Macintosh. Version 1.0, completed in August 1995, was developed primarily on a Macintosh LCIII, whereas Version 2.0 was developed on a PowerBook Duo 230 / DuoDock system. The software has been tested on a variety of older Macs (SE, 660AV, IIci) but has not been tested on PowerPC machines.
Is there a Windows version of SuperLicks? Allegiant has committed to providing a Windows version of SuperCard "Real Soon Now" (projected for Spring, 1996). Shortly after that time, SuperLicks for Windows will be released.
What other enhancements might I expect in the future? Although we think SuperLicks 1.0 was an excellent first effort, we are very pleased with how its successor has turned out. Look for user-configurable lessons, a collection of background rhythm tracks and, yes, we are still considering animating the tabulatures. Write us at the addresses below to offer YOUR suggestions!
